Steve Stoute, is the CEO and founder of Translation LLC, a brand development and marketing firm he founded in 2004. He was Lead Investor & Chairman at Carol's Daughter and Founder of UnitedMasters.

Mr. Stoute is a long time executive in the music industry. He was previously President of the Urban Music division and executive vice president at Interscope Records. Prior to joining Interscope, Stoute was president of Urban Music for Sony Music Entertainment, where he played a role in launching the music careers of Will Smith and Nas. He was Managing Director and CEO of  Lisa Price’s Carol's Daughter, a line of natural hair and body care products. In May 2005 Stoute and a group of black movie and music stars including Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, LeBron James and Jay-Z invested $10 million in the Brooklyn beauty-products company with plans to take the brand nationwide.

With Mary J. Blige, he co-founded the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN), whose mission is to educate, and empower women through scholarships, grants and career development opportunities. In 2009 they opened their first facility, the Mary J. Blige Center for Women in Yonkers, New York.
