Robert L. Dixon

Robert L. Dixon has been the owner of The RD Factor, Inc., a digital and information technology consulting business, since December 2016.

Work Experience

Mr. Dixon served as Global Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of PepsiCo, Inc. Mr. Dixon assumed this role in 2007, and was responsible for PepsiCo's Business + Information Solutions (BIS). BIS is the global function that delivers all information technology. He also owns the SAP enterprise business transformation initiative, a top strategic priority for the company. Mr. Dixon oversees more than 5,000 associates who support PepsiCo's diverse and complex business units, while fueling performance with business solutions that connect, innovate, transform and sustain PepsiCo's eco-system.

Prior to joining PepsiCo, Mr. Dixon served as vice president, Global Business Services, Procter & Gamble (P&G), one of the world's largest shared services organizations. He founded the company's SAP Global Center of Expertise, which integrated multiple systems into a single SAP platform. He was also a five-year member of P&G's Global Business Council of top executives and diversity advisor to the chief executive officer.

Mr. Dixon serves on the Board of Directors of Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Anthem, Inc. (formerly WellPoint Inc.) since July 1, 2011. He served on CIO Advisory Board for International Business Machines Corp.

Mr. Dixon serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Institute of Technology College of Engineering Advisory Board. He served on the President’s Advisory Board of the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2009.

Mr. Dixon was inducted into The Georgia Institute of Technology's Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni in 2002.
