Kevin Okyere is the Founder and CEO of the Springfield Group. With a focused on contributing to Ghana's sustainable development, Mr. Okyere entered the telecommunications industry before establishing Springfield Energy in 2008, becoming a key player in the country's oil and gas sector.
Mr. Okyere is also the driving force behind Springfield Exploration & Production Ltd, the first independent Ghanaian company awarded an oil block. Additionally, he expanded the company's presence into Nigeria, making Springfield Ashburton Limited the only Ghanaian firm involved in energy-related trade in Nigeria.
Originally from Ghana's Ashanti region, Kevin Okyere comes from an affluent family involved in construction, steel manufacturing, and cocoa farming. Demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, he sold iced water at age 11 and took summer jobs in London during family vacations. Despite being part of a wealthy family, Mr. Okyere took on diverse jobs in the U.S. while studying at George Mason University in Virginia. His roles ranged from caring for mentally challenged patients to working as a security guard and in AOL's mail room.
Beyond business, Mr. Okyere is a dedicated philanthropist, supporting healthcare and education initiatives at various levels. He holds a degree in Accounting from George Mason University.
