James D. White

James D. White is the Chairman at Adtalem Global Education Inc. since November 16, 2017. Mr. White served as a Director of Callidus Software Inc., (a/k/a, CallidusCloud) from July 2016 until April 2018. 

Mr. White was Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jamba Juice, a retailer of juices, smoothies and health foods, since December 2008 to January 2016.

Prior to Jamba Juice, Mr. White was from 2005 - 2008, Senior Vice President of Consumer Brands for Safeway, Inc. with responsibility for brand strategy, innovation, manufacturing and commercial sales. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. White was Senior Vice President of Business Development, North America at the Gillette Company. Mr. White also held executive and management roles with Nestlé Purina from 1987 to 2005, including Vice President, Customer Interface Group from 1999 to 2002, and Vice President, Customer Development East from 1997 to 1999. He also held executive roles at Coca-Cola Foods in various marketing and sales development positions (1983-1987).

In addition to his Board responsibilities for Jamba Juice, Mr. White also sits on the Board of Directors for The Organic Center and Daymon Worldwide and is a member of the PTA Advisory Board. He is a current member of The Executive Leadership Council.

Mr. White received his MBA from Fontbonne University and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
