Isiah Thomas is Chairman and CEO of Isiah International, a holding company with interests in a diversified portfolio of companies, founded in 1990. Wholly owned by Mr. Thomas, Isiah International Holdings invests in companies with strong market positions and growth potential. The company started with Isiah Chocolate Bars, a joint partnership with Morley Candy Makers, before branching off into ice cream in partnership with Stroh's Ice Cream. In 1992 Isiah Investments, LLC acquired American Speedy Printing with over 700 quick print stores across the country. Mr. Thomas took a very hands-on approach at American Speedy, helping to lead the company out of bankruptcy, become profitable and make it one of the largest printing franchises in the world. Current holdings include firms across a wide range of industries: real estate, champagne imports, hemp/cannabis/CBD products, utility vegetation management, oil and pipeline services, and sports & entertainment. Mr. Thomas became the first Black American elected to the Board of Governors of the Chicago Stock Exchange in 1999, and served on the board until 2002.
