Mr. Femi Otedola, a prominent Nigerian billionaire, serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geregu Power Plc, where he holds a majority ownership of over 70% of the shares. Formerly, from May 2007 to June 2019, he held the position of Chairman at Forte Oil Plc, previously known as African Petroleum Plc. In 2018, Mr. Otedola divested his 75% stake in Forte Oil to Prudent Energy, a local oil trading firm.

In addition to his role at Geregu Power Plc, Mr. Otedola assumes the position of Chairman at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. He is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of various companies, including Zenon Petroleum & Gas Limited, Seaforce Shipping Company Limited, Atlas Shipping Agency Company Limited, F. O. Transport Limited, F.O. Properties Limited, Swift Insurance Brokers Limited, and Garment Care Limited.

In 1994, following the consolidation of his father's businesses, Mr. Otedola diversified into finance, investment, and trading, establishing his own company, Centreforce Limited. Subsequently, in 1999, he entered the oil and gas sector by founding Zenon Petroleum & Gas Limited, engaged in the procurement, storage, marketing, and distribution of petroleum products.

Expanding his ventures, he incorporated Seaforce Shipping Company Limited in 2001, managing a modern tanker fleet comprising vessels such as Mt. Sir Michael, Mt. Lady Doja, Mt. Nana, and Mt. Zenon Conquest, with a total deadweight of 60,158 metric tons, dedicated to transporting petroleum products.

Mr. Otedola's notable appointments include serving as a member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC) since January 2004. In 2005, he became a pioneer director of the Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc and was elected president of the Nigeria Chamber of Shipping in April of the same year. He holds the position of a fellow at the Nigerian Institute of Shipping.

Throughout his career, Mr. Otedola has actively participated in various boards and committees, including the National Economic Management Team from September 2011 to May 2015 and the Honorary International Investors Council under Baroness Lynda Chalker's leadership. Recognized for his significant contributions to the Nigerian economy, he was conferred with the prestigious National Honour of "Commander of the Order of the Niger – CON" in May 2010.

In September 2022, Mr. Otedola was appointed to the National Peace Committee, where he is tasked with facilitating peaceful elections, transitions, and promoting unity and stability in Nigeria. 

Mr. Otedola has real estate holdings in Lagos, Dubai, London, and Monaco. Additionally, he holds shares in both Zenith Bank and FBN Holdings.

Beyond his business ventures, he is a dedicated philanthropist, actively supporting educational causes at all levels through the Sir Michael Otedola Scholarship Awards Foundation.
