Dr. Amy Jadesimi is Managing Director (since 2009), Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base (LADOL), an industrial Free Zone privately owned logistics and engineering facility located on an island in the Port of Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria. The logistics firm was started by her father Chief Oladipo Jadesimi in 2001 and is the only 100 per cent indigenous oil and gas fabrication and multi-logistics services base in Nigeria.

“Though I work with my father, meritocracy is very important to him,” she says. “The company is managed as an institution. This is a business that means a lot to him emotionally. Being the Managing Director one gets a lot of pressure, especially not to make any kind of costly mistake." She told ventureaferica.com in a 2013 interview.

After graduating from business school Amy moved to Nigeria where she set up a financial consultancy firm before joining the Management Team of LiLe, the developer of LADOL, as Managing Director. While at Stanford, Amy completed an internship with Brait Private Equity in Johannesburg, South Africa (2003), where she worked as a transaction executive in Private Equity. Dr. Jadesimi joined Goldman Sachs International in London (1999 to 2002), as part of the Investment Banking Division, specializing in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.

As a contributor to Forbes, Dr Jadesimi is a member of the Advisory Board for the UN Development Programme’s Africa Human Development Report”. In 2012, Dr Jadesimi was named an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellow; in 2013, a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and a Rising Talent by the Women’s Forum for Economy and Society; in 2014, Forbes included her in The 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa; and in July 2015, the Financial Times named her one of top 25 Africans To Watch. Amy is a founding member of the Business and Sustainable Development Commission, announced in January 2016 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Forbes added her to it's The World's Top 50 Women in Tech 2018 list. She was included in Reset Global People 2019 inaugural list of the Top 100 Women CEOs in Africa.

Dr. Jadesimi attended boarding school in the United Kingdom. She attended the University of Oxford, first graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physiological Sciences and later with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBCh) degree, in 1999. She also earned a MBA in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
