Usher tops Los Angeles Times Pop Power List

Created by BlackEntrepreneurProfiles.com

Recording Artist and Entrepreneur Usher Raymond has topped a new Los Angeles Times poll to find the most powerful artist in pop music in 2005.

The R&B star was voted tops over artist like Alicia Keys, Beyonce and Eminem to claim the top spot in the Los Angeles Times Pop Power List, after industry heavy weights including producer Jermaine Dupri and rap mogul Russell Simmons were asked to cast their votes.

What is the big deal about being viewed as the most powerful pop artist? Well this can translate into mega marketing money for Usher. His image is pretty clean which mean a lot of corporations would not shy away from using him to promote their products and services. The kids love him and their parents don’t mine him. This just mean the Usher brand will be sucking in more money for this young black entrepreneur.

The top 5 are:

1. Usher
2. Alicia Keys
3. Coldplay
4. Eminem
5. Beyonce Knowles
