Steve Stoute Making Money with Carol's Daughter

Created by BlackEntrepreneurProfiles.com

Forbes.com is running a really good article about Steve Stoute and his plans for Carol's Daughter, a Brooklyn-based beauty line founded by Lisa Price. In May 2005 Stoute and a group of black movie and music stars including Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, LeBron James and Jay-Z invested $10 million in the Brooklyn beauty-products company with plans to take the brand nationwide.

"High-grade leather and almond cookies: That's what Steven Stoute's chauffeur-driven, fully-loaded Mercedes Maybach smells like as he slathers on Almond Cookie Shea Souffle. The hand lotion comes courtesy of an upstart beauty company in Harlem, N.Y., called Carol's Daughter, in which Stoute, skilled promoter of hip-hop stars Nas and Mary J. Blige, recently took a sizable stake."
