Sheri Brewer promoted to Senior Vice-President and Chief Retail Officer OneUnited Bank

In this capacity, Ms. Brewer will report to OneUnited Bank President, Teri Williams, and will oversee all of retail banking including the retail and internet branches, call center, and customer support/operations departments. Effectively, Ms. Brewer will be responsible for more than 55% of OneUnited's entire workforce. Ms. Brewer's appointment marks the continuation of the Bank's leadership position as Black America's bank and the premier bank for urban communities across America.

In her new role, Ms. Brewer will be a key driver in the achievement of OneUnited's aggressive goals for organic growth and growth through strategic acquisitions over the next three years. With her new position, Ms. Brewer will use her considerable banking experience in both retail banking (branch management, customer service and sales) and consumer lending, to attract new customers and retain existing customers through exceptional customer service, new product offerings and expanded branch and delivery channels, such as the internet. Ms. Brewer will also use her extensive conversion experience to successfully integrate any future bank acquisitions into OneUnited Bank's branch network.

Prior to this promotion, Ms. Brewer held the position of vice president of Retail Banking at OneUnited Bank. Through her leadership, the Bank successfully integrated the branch network of four institutions into one retail platform that offers affordable financial services to urban communities. Ms. Brewer was also instrumental in the successful launch of the Bank's internet strategy in 2006. Before joining the OneUnited Bank's management team in September 2000, she worked at Business Bank of California, Orange County Federal Credit Union and First City Savings Federal Credit Union. She is a graduate of Occidental College. Ms. Brewer is currently active in the Rotary Club, NCNW, Jack and Jill of America, and the Pacific Coast Regional Small Business Development Corporation. She has received numerous awards for her civic involvements.
