Pamela Thomas-Graham leaves CNBC for Liz Claiborne
Pamela Thomas-Graham is stepping down as chairman of CNBC, the business news cable channel, to become Group President at Liz Claiborne Inc., effective October 10. Liz Claiborne Inc., designs and markets an extensive range of women's and men's fashion apparel and accessories .
At Liz Claiborne, Thomas-Graham will oversee the flagship Liz Claiborne business, as well as Sigrid Olsen, J.H. Collectibles, Emma James, Intuitions and Tapemeasure.
"This is a very exciting opportunity. LizClaiborne has an outstanding management team and a terrific track record. I'm delighted to have the opportunity to work with several of the most highly regarded apparel brands in America," Thomas-Graham said.
Todays announcement was not a surprise since Thomas-Graham had been replaced as president of CNBC earlier this year by Mark Hoffman, a former general manager at an NBC affiliate station.
