Sean Combs tells MTV News he’s chosen a new name for himself. He says he’s going with just “Diddy†because “the P was getting in between us.â€
This is a guy that knows how to market himself. I Googled “Sean Combs name change†and received 82 400 results.
Combs claims that his name change has nothing to do with marketing but for a none marketing event this name change has sure gotten him a lot of free press.
You know Hip Hop is a very important economic force when Diddy’s name change is reported by most main stream media outlets.
Diddy will host the MTV Video Music Awards in Miami on Aug. 28. He’s promising “the unveiling of Diddy†at that event.
