Jay-Z Sued Over 40/40 Club Design
Interior designer Ilan Waisbod, has accused Jay-Z of reproducing his designs for the 40/40 Club without permission, in a lawsuit filed in New York.
In the lawsuit Waisbod claims that Jay-Z and his partners who own the 40/40 Club, has reproduced his décor designs for a new 40/40 Club without his permission.
Waisbod said he designed the clubs Manhattan location and that his design has been reproduced in the 40/40 Clubs new Atlantic City location, the New York Post reported.
Jay-Z and his partners are planning to open clubs with similar interiors in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Singapore which would be a violation of the club's agreement with Waisbod's design firm, Studio Gaia.
