Jay-Z puts off release of upcoming autobiography
According to reports entrepreneur and Def Jam CEO, Shawn Carter, aka Jay-Z, has decided that he is not quite ready to share his memoirs with the general public.
Though his upcoming autobiography, Jay-Z: The Black Book, co-written with Dream Hampton, is set to be released early next year, Jay-Z is hesitant about releasing it.
Jay-Z, who was a former street hustler before he became a rapper and legitimate businessman said it's really hard for him to share intimate things from his life with the general public.
In a recent interview Carter said, "I know that people really want to know about me, and I thought I was OK with it, but as it got closer and closer, I said, What am I doing?"
"Just someone having my life in their hands made me, like, 'I ain't doing this s**t.'
Carter when on to say, "She (Dream Hampton) was sending me chapters, but I haven't read it all together like one thing. I can't."
