Created by BlackEntrepreneurProfiles.com

For the past 12 years, Vanity Fair Magazine has published their list of the top 100 cultural power brokers with their "New Establishment" list. This year the magazine makes room for artists, designers, and journalists.

This year for the first time a hip hop artist has made the list. Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter (No.46) has been named a powerbroker. Jay-Z is one of only three blacks to make this years list. The other blacks on the list is Oprah Winfrey (No.9) and Richard Parsons (No.11) of Time Warner.

Topping the New Establishment list for the first time is Google 32-year-old co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, followed by the CEO of Wal-Mart, H. Lee Scott Jr. and Viacom's Sumner Redstone.
