Jay Z in talks to buy into English soccer club
Rappreneur Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter is reported to be in talks with Russian Billionaire Roman Arkadievich Abramovich the 21st richest person in the world according to Forbes Magazine, with a networth of $13 billion. Carter is reported to have contacted Mr. Abramovich about buying a stake in the 119 year old English Premiership outfit Arsenal.
Carter has enjoying a host of successful business deals of late including buying into the NBA's New Jersey Nets, launching a line of luxury watches with the Swiss company Audemars Piguet and becoming CEO of Def Jam after him and his partners sold Roc-a-fella Records to Island Def Jam.
Carter first tried to buy into the Chelsea football club, the defending Premier League champions, but was turned down, the Sunday Mirror reported.
