"My brother-in-law had told me, back in '98, '99, that he was friends with somebody in the federal government. He said 'Irv, yo' my friend told me you're on the 'being watched' list.' Like he told me and I shrugged it off . . . They've been watching me since 1997, which is scary, and they've been listening to my conversations. They've been reading my text messages since 1997. Yo, that's crazy. For what, because I'm friends with Supreme (New York drug lord Kenneth 'Supreme' McGriff)?"
On Whether the Hip-Hop Community is Being Targeted Unfairly by the Government...
"With this hip-hop thing, it's like they want to put a negative thing to the masses, that this hip-hop thing, I guess, is bad. And look who're the people they hang with, and look at this and look at that."

"It's kind of hard for me to articulate exactly what my heart and mind is feeling. It's just unbelievable. You're up there for your life. You've got 12 jury persons. During the whole time you know you didn't do none of this."
Segments of Gotti's interview will appear on BET as part of the network's daily news briefs schedule today (December 13) at approximately 3:20 p.m., 5:20 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. ET/PT. BET.com will post its entire in-depth interview with Gotti beginning Thursday (December 14). While Rap City will showcase a special three-part interview with Gotti in episodes Wednesday through Friday (December 14-16) at 4 p.m. ET/PT.
