Google Adds New Features To Bard, It’s AI Chatbot.

Google has announced new ways to leverage its Bard AI tool across its various apps and services. Bard AI chatbot is an innovative experiment that aims to explore the possibilities of collaborating with generative AI. Google recently introduce some updates and features that makes Bard more useful and engaging for users.

Bard Extensions: This feature allows users to connect Bard with different Google apps and services, such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Maps, YouTube, and more. Users can ask Bard to compose an email, create a document, access files, find directions, watch videos, or book flights and hotels, all within the conversation. Bard Extensions make it easy to access relevant information and complete tasks without leaving the chat.

Google it button: This feature gives users more control and confidence over Bard's answers. By clicking this button, users can see a list of web sources that support or contradict Bard's answer, as well as a summary of the main points. This way, users can verify Bard's accuracy and reliability, and learn more about the topic.

Public link sharing: This feature enables users to share their conversations with Bard with others. Users can generate a link that allows anyone to view or continue the conversation, or start a new one based on the previous one. This feature fosters collaboration and creativity among users, as they can build on each other's ideas and questions.

Expanded language support: This feature makes Bard more accessible and inclusive for users around the world. Users can now use Bard in more than 40 languages, and enjoy the same features as English users, such as uploading images with Lens, getting Search images in responses, and modifying Bard's responses. Users can also switch languages within the same conversation, or ask Bard to translate between languages.

PaLM 2 model: This is the most advanced model of Bard so far. PaLM 2 uses reinforcement learning techniques to improve its quality and accuracy over time, based on user feedback.

Bard is a powerful tool that can help users with various tasks, such as trip planning, job application, creative writing, and coding assistance. I’m personally looking forwards to incorporating Bard into my work routine, given my positive experience with ChatGPT and Microsoft Bing Chat which is base on CHatGPT. Since I use Google Workspace for work my result with Bard should improve my workflow.
