Global Grind Power Struggle

Created by BlackEntrepreneurProfiles.com

Hip Hop community site Global Grind, seems to have quietly replaced CEO Navarrow Wright, who is no longer listed on the company's About Us page suggesting that Wright and the company have parted ways.

The company recently announced the appointment of Russell Simmons as its new Editor in Chief. Simmons who is an early investor in the company seem to be the one running show now according to Black Web 2.0.

Global Grind seems to be turning into more of a celebrity blogging play with community features, which might have been the cause of the rift between Wright and Simmons.

In a November 2008 NPR interview, you can clearly see Simmons taking over the show barely giving Wright an opportunity to answer a question. Always cutting in when Wright attempts to answer a question. Who can work under those kinds of conditions?
