Apple Upgrades iPhone, iPod Touch Storage
Apple updated the iPhone and iPod Touch today, doubling the memory and setting a new premium price for its high-end models.
The iPhone now comes in a new 16GB model for $499 doubling the storage of the previous 8GB model. And the iPod touch now comes in a new 32GB model for $499. It joins the 16GB and 8GB models for $399 and $299, respectively.
Apple said that all iPhone and iPod Touch models come with updated software that the company announced in January. It includes a new maps application and the ability to watch movies from the iTunes movie rental service.
