Apple Introduces New 13-inch MacBook
Apple Computer on Tuesday unveiled a 13-inch Intel-based MacBook, the newest member of its Intel Core Duo powered family of laptops.
It's a beautifully designed notebook that costs less than older, slower, clunkier models.
The 13-inch widescreen MacBook, which is on sale now, starts at $1,099 for a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo processor with a 60GB hard drive.
The top-of-the-line 2.0GHz model, starting at $1,499, comes equipped with an 80GB hard drive, an optional DVD-burning SuperDrive, built-in Bluetooth, wireless-ready (802.11g) AirPort, and up to 2GB of RAM. And for the first time ever, Apple offers it in bright white or sleek black.
Each of the new MacBooks will come with a built-in iSight video camera.
Every MacBook comes with iLife ’06 — a suite of applications for managing your digital life and Front Row, so you can navigate your movies, music, photos, and more using the included Apple Remote.
