50 Cent Makes 2005 Music's Top Money Makers Top Ten

Created by BlackEntrepreneurProfiles.com

50 Cent who earned $79 million last year was the only urban artist in the top ten of Forbes magazines Music's Top Money Markers list.

50 is ranked #8 on the list behind Celine Dion who earned $81 million and a head of the Dave Matthews Band's $74 million and Elton John's $66 million.

Topping the list was The Rolling Stones, bringing in $168 million followed by U2 with earnings of $150 million.

50's The Massacre sold close to 5 million albums in the US. Though his movie didn't do well at the box office this year, he did OK on tour, grossing $4.7 million on his own and splitting a $21.6 million tour with Eminem.

The list doesn't include other sources of income like movie deals, ad campaigns or, in 50 Cent's case, vitamin water sales.
