50 Cent launches G-Unit Books

50 Cent along with co-authors Nikki Turner and K.Elliot, signed copies of the upcoming G-Unit books 'Death Before Dishonor', 'Baby Brother', 'Hood', 'Soldier 7' and 'The Ski Mask Way'.

"I had people who didn't generally like to read books reading about my life. Kids who liked my music bought the book," he says. "I went to my old public school, PS 80 in Queens, and the kids were interested. They actually think I'm a role model. I think I have defects of character like everyone else, but I like to think of myself as inspiring."

50 says he's creating a series of books that complements the type of music he creates.

"These tales will tell the truth about 'the life'; the sex, guns and cash; the brutal highs and short lives of the players on the streets," said publishers MTV and Pocket Books.
